Q. Is my credit card secure?
Yes! This site currently offers two ways to purchase: PayPal, or credit card via Authorize.net. Both options employ industry leading security measures so your credit card information remains secure at all times.
Q. Do you accept orders by mail?
A. Yes, we accept orders by mail. Check, money order, and VISA / Mastercard are all valid mail-order payment methods. Please download this form for more details.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. I don’t have a return policy – I have a satisfaction guarantee, which is far better! If you don’t like it, you get your money back AND you keep the lesson. On top of that, you have 90 days to make your decision.
Q. How do I ask for a return?
A. You can use the contact page, or simply dig up your email receipt and send it (along with a short explanation & your request) to support@unlockingtheguitar.com.
Q. Can I use American Express?
A. Yes, but you have to use it via the PayPal option. It will not work through the Credit Card Order Method.

Q. How soon will I receive my DVD order?
A. That depends on the shipping option you select at checkout; however typically DVDs are shipped out within 1-3 business days of the order, and if delivered via USPS, will take about 5 days in transit. So you should definitely see the package within 7-10 days of order.
Q. Do you accept international orders?
A. Yes! Just put your complete shipping information into the form, and it will automatically compute your shipping costs direct to wherever you are in the world.
Q. Can I order just the DVD and not the download?
A. No, the download is included in all package options. However, if you do not wish to use the download area, that is okay as the DVD will contain what you need. The benefit of the download area is that it gives you access to future product updates which will happen from time to time.
Q. What is the difference between the DVD and the Download only versions?
A. Both versions contain exactly the same lesson material; the only difference is that the DVD version comes on a professionally printed DVD. If you wish to order just the download version and create your own DVD, you may do so, for personal use.
Q. Does this lesson cover Bass Guitar Scales?
A. Although a lot of the lesson is applicable to the bass guitar, I’d recommend checking out another lesson that I’ve created specifically for bass players. Check it out here: Bass Guitar Theory

Q. When I click on the download links in the member’s area, it takes forever to load the video. What gives?
A. If you click the download links directly, your internet browser will attempt to load the video inside of the browser. To prevent this, right click on the link, and select “Save Target As” or “Save File As” and save the file to a location on your computer where you’ll remember where you put it. I recommend creating a folder specific to this lesson, and downloading all the material into that one folder in order to find it easily later on.
Q. When I start the download, it tells me it will take several hours. Is this normal?
A. Just like in high school math, the distance you can travel is dependent on how fast you’re going. If you have a fast internet connection, you should be able to download all of the material in an hour or two. However, if your internet connection is slower, it may take several hours to complete the download. I recommend using some form of download manager software that will allow you to resume your download in case it is interrupted.
Q. I’ve downloaded the files, but now I can’t find them on my computer! Help!
You can check your Downloads folder, and if the files are not there, I recommend going back as if you were going to re-download the files, but this time when your internet browser asks you where to save the files, take note of the location, and go look there on your computer.
Q. I’ve download the files, but they won’t play on my computer!
There are two video file types available for download, .m4v and .flv. If you downloaded the .m4v files, you will need Quicktime to view them. If you downloaded the .flv file, you will need VLC Media Player to view them. (Both are free download links).
Q. Can I download the lesson material on more than one computer?
Yes, your login details allow you unrestricted access to the member’s area, so you can download the lesson as many times as you require. Some people like to have the lesson on both their home computer as well as their work computer, and this works just fine with this system.
